Advanced Evaluation Training
Advanced evaluation training provides participants with opportunities to develop an evaluation design, analyze program data and strategically communicate their findings with key stakeholders.
All advanced evaluation training extended the work of basic training to include a focus on and activities related to planning for and conducting data analysis, and presentation of results including data visualization. Advanced evaluation training always included involvement in actual evaluation projects.
The projects listed on the right incorporated advanced evaluation training using differing strategies. For example, the Building Evaluation Capacity (BEC) project used both basic and advanced evaluation training for staff in Hartford, CT over an 18-month period, as did the Rochester Effectiveness Partnership (REP). In contrast, the Metrowest Evaluator’s Institute (MWEI) exposed participants to advanced evaluation training in a compressed timeframe.
